Last Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden visited Cree to discuss the Obama administration’s commitment to fighting for issues important to America’s middle class families, including creating well-paying manufacturing jobs and building the clean energy economy, according to reports from Cree, Inc.
Vice President Biden toured Cree’s facilities with Chuck Swoboda, chairman and chief executive officer of Cree, and spoke with employees about the benefits of working for a green technology company and their concerns about the economy.
Clearly, having a top official in our government endorsing green initiatives such as LED lighting says a great deal about the promise of the technology.
“The ongoing support from the Obama administration is important as we promote the value of energy efficiency and sustainability in today’s economy,” said Swoboda. “Cree is creating American clean-tech jobs right now, as we continue to lead the LED lighting revolution.”
Coast also recognizes the important role that LED technology is playing in our world today. Not only is LED technology far superior to other conventional lighting methods, its environmental-friendliness makes it the clear choice to usher in a new age of sustainability.
