Equipment for the TX40 Flashlight

Thursday, October 17th, 2013

COAST's TX40 LED FlashlightThe TX40 is a powerful, professional use LED flashlight that is easily adapted to a variety of uses and conditions. Its sophisticated optics system produces a bull’s-eye spot beam, which throws light as far as 518 feet (158 meters), while also providing an outer ring of scattered floodlight.  While light output is the first consideration for any worthwhile torch, the TX40 LED flashlight also offers several different accessory options that you might not know about.

First, you can attach the TX40 to the undercarriage of a rifle using our Universal/Picatinny Rail Mount (7733RM). Actually, since the 7733RM has a one-inch interior diameter, you can use the rail mount to attach any flashlight with a one-inch diameter to your rifle. The rail mount is constructed from solid aluminum; it is rugged enough to last a lifetime.

Product Comparison: A9 LED Penlight vs. HP3 Focusing LED Inspection Light

Monday, April 8th, 2013

A9 LED Penlight vs. HP3 Focusing LED Inspection LightFor mechanics, home inspectors, firefighters and police, a professional use LED flashlight is part of the everyday work uniform. Firefighters use LED lights to see their way through burning buildings. Police officers use LED flashlights during roadside inspections and arrests. And mechanics and inspectors use LED lights to peer far into the crevices and crannies of engine blocks and crawl spaces.

Today we’re focusing on two LED flashlights that were designed for professional use: the A9 LED penlight, a favorite among inspectors as it is slim enough to tuck into a shirt pocket, and the HP3 Focusing LED Inspection Light, popular among mechanics as its beam may be focused into a high-power spotlight beam with a surrounding halo of usable light. To help you choose between these two similar LED lights, we’ve compared some of their major characteristics in the handy table below. (more…)

Houston Firefighter in SmokeProfessional firefighter and blogger Mike Morales recently reviewed two COAST Products: the 3.0 version of our Rapid Response Knife and the HP14 professional use LED flashlight. He gave both items a positive review, but it was the HP14 that really won him over. “I love this flashlight,” he said.

Morales appreciates the ergonomic aspects of this torch, including its textured stock, handy weight and heavy-duty protective sheath with belt loop. He found the HP14 to be durable and “unbreakable, as advertised.”

Why Every Firefighter needs at least One Professional Use LED Flashlight

Picture this: You’re heading into the burning building while everyone else runs away. As flames lick the roofline, your adrenaline is racing but your rational mind kicks into gear. Quickly, you check that you have all of your gear. A few of the items you look for are: a self-contained breathing kit to provide oxygen when the air becomes too thick with smoke to breathe; your Halligan bar for prying open closed doors, among other uses; and your professional use LED flashlight.

LED Flashlight Comparison: COAST PX45 vs. COAST A25

Wednesday, November 7th, 2012

PX45 LED Flashlight vs. A25 LED FlashlightWhen you’re as enthusiastic about professional use LED flashlight design as we are, the differences between various models jump out at you. However, if you’re not a complete LED gadget geek, it can be difficult to sift through the different flashlight features and advantages. Fortunately, we have an easy solution – rather than pulling your hair out over LED research, just read our handy table below. Today we’re focusing on two of our top professional use LED flashlight options: the COAST PX45 and the COAST A25.

Before diving into the details, one note on both of these models is that they’re intended for professional use. Mechanics, technicians, plumbers and inspectors require high-end professional use LED flashlights for their work. When you rely on a flashlight to do your job, day in and day out, you’re most likely willing to pay a little more for a product that won’t poop out on you at exactly the wrong time. Both the PX45 and the A25 will shine (literally and figuratively) in this role. However, there are a few key differences between them, as outlined below.
