Safe knife storage not only means keeping knives away from causing a potential knife accident in your home but also that the knives are safe from being lost, broken, or harmed in any way. B
Knife storage starts with finding a safe location that is either lockable or up high and away from where kids or pets can accidentally get into them. A box, cupboard or other knife storage location should also be air-tight in order to keep moisture or dust from getting in. The interior of the box should be made up of materials that will not harm the knives, and that will hold them securely.
Even if you don’t use your knives very often, it is important to remember to take them out of storage to clean them and ensure they are in good working order.
