That’s right. Idaho’s Free Fishing Day is coming up quick, so get ready!
According to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, this coming Saturday, June 13th, anglers will not be required to possess a license in order to fish in Idaho. However, all additional regulations still apply. Anglers wishing to fish any other day will require a valid fishing license; children under 14 never require a license to fish.
For novice anglers, numerous fishing events, sponsored by Idaho Fish and Game regional offices, are planned all around the state. Fishing rods are usually provided, as well as some basic instruction on how to fish. Fish and Game personnel and volunteers will be on hand to help first-time anglers.
For a list of these fishing event locations, visit Idaho Fish and Game on the web.
