The holiday season is just around the corner. It’s that time of year when you start thinking ahead about gifts to buy for your loved ones. But part of the fun is also dropping hints to your significant other about what you’d like to receive.
If you’re a flashaholic, there’s no question that a brand-new LED flashlight (or three) will be somewhere on your list. But how do you let your sweetie know you’d like an LED flashlight for Christmas without ruining the surprise? Here are a few techniques you can try:
Treasure hunt. One idea is to buy your partner a small gift and hide it under a bed, dresser or other dark location. Then, initiate a treasure hunt and give your honey hot/cold hints. When the moment is right, suggest with a sly grin how much easier it would be if you had a quality LED flashlight.
Advertising. A tried-and-true gift-hinting technique is to leave traces of advertising from your favorite LED flashlight sources lying around. For example, you can leave magazines open to the ad for the flashlight you want in a place your partner will find them. Better yet, your web browser open on a page featuring the LED flashlight you have in mind.
Social media. Tweeting or Facebooking about how great LED flashlights are – and how much you’d like a new one – can be a great way to tip off your partner. The key is to start early; if you wait until December, you risk sounding too obvious.
Under the pillow. If all other methods fail, you may need a little help of the tooth-fairy sort. Try placing pictures of LED flashlights under your significant other’s pillow; maybe he or she will get the message in his or her sleep.
