COAST Celebrates ‘Great Outdoors Month’

Central Oregon Landscape

Outdoor enthusiasts, rejoice! June is national Great Outdoors Month, which highlights the fun you can have outdoors in the country’s forests, national parks, wildlife refuges and other public spaces. This event coincides with several national outdoor events we at COAST Products are excited about.

Great Outdoors Month Events and Activities

Great Outdoors Month encourages everyone in the nation to spend time outside and to uphold the legacy of conserving the environment for future generations. In the related 2011 Presidential Proclamation, President Obama encourages Americans to play, explore and get healthy outdoors. The following is a look at some of events our team at COAST Products is looking forward to the most:

National Trails Day (June 2): Occurring on the first Saturday in June, this event encourages you to either explore new terrain or visit an old favorite. Activities across the country range from getting together with your hiking group to helping create new trails to helping clean your favorite paths. (Before you hit the trails, check out the essential hiking and safety gear COAST Products offers.)

National Fishing and Boating Week (June 2-10):  Get together with your fishing buddies during the first full week of June. Coinciding with free fishing days in several states, National Fishing and Boating Week is filled with activities for children, adults, boat-lovers and anglers.

National Get Outdoors Day (June 9): Occurring on the second Saturday in June, GO Day is an annual event that encourages active, healthy outdoor fun and helps reconnect youths to the great outdoors. On this day, you can also enter the country’s national forests and parks free of charge, courtesy of the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service.

Great American Backyard Campout (June 23): Spend the night outside in the comfort of your own yard, balcony, campground or park. Created by the National Wildlife Federation, the Great American Backyard Campout was created to teach children how to embrace a healthy, active outdoor lifestyle. Remember, no campout is complete without an LED flashlight or lantern from COAST Products!

this is my first flashlight and i thought i had bragging rights here

Thank you for your question. The only LED flashlight we have that is WATERPROOF is the PX50. All of our other handheld lights are ANSI rated as water-resistant. I hope this helps.
