COAST Featured in ABC News Overnight Now Segment

COAST's A22RDick DeBartalo, ABC News Overnight Now’s “Giz Whiz,” recently featured a COAST product as a handy gadget to have around the house. Mr. DeBartolo attended the 2013 National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, and selected the Coast A22R rechargeable LED flashlight as one of the top products at the show.

In the ABC television spot, Mr. DeBartalo deftly handles the focusing function for the A22R’s 241-lumen beam. The A22R’s unique charging feature really caught the Giz Wiz’ attention. By sliding open the A22R’s end cap, Mr. DeBartalo reveals the Pro-Tek Charging Port, which is compatible with AC power (from a wall socket), DC power (in a car) and USB (from a computer or phone). What’s more, if none of these power forms are available, the A22R can also be powered via AA battery. “A lotta flashlights can’t do [this],” the Giz Wiz points out.

In a little more than thirty seconds, Mr. DeBartalo manages to communicate the A22R’s most important stats: It provides 241 lumens; it has a focus feature to switch between a more scattered floodlight and a focused spotlight; it offers many choices for powering up. Here are a few more features of this top-of-the-line LED flashlight:

  • Runtime: 3 hours, 30 minutes.
  • Beam distance: 370 feet (nearly four football fields)
  • Stainless steel casing
  • Impact- and water-resistant
  • Comes with its own heavy-duty sheath

We designed the A22R to be one of the longest-lasting, heaviest-duty rechargeable torches on the market. It is reliable and versatile.

For those who are interested in “cream of the crop” LED flashlights, the A22R is a must-have. Auto mechanics, search and rescue, police, and others who use flashlights professionally would cherish this LED flashlight as a gift. The A22R is also great for those who want to be extra prepared against natural disasters.
