The American Hiking Society along with the National Park Service Trails has organized a special hike and learn trip at the Lookout Mountain Land Conservancy (LMC) to take place this Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The 3.5 mile hike, being called the “Take a Hike into Volunteering” will enable participants to get out and enjoy the trail system, the great outdoors and some physical activity. They will also learn about the activities of the LMC, the Reflection Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and the Tennessee River Gorge Trust. The organizers hope that participants will also be inspired to volunteer for some of these organizations and parks activities. Interested participants can register by contacting Sarah Quattrochi.
