The so-called “butterfly effect” is well and alive in today’s LED lighting market. This theory states that everything on this planet is interconnected, so the flapping of a butterfly’s wings could launch storms in another part of the globe. In the LED world, a butterfly effect of sorts has begun, in the form of an important development in the quest to conserve energy by switching to LED light bulbs – namely, the opening of new Cree technology centers in China.
